While my name is Peceli Uluiviti, I am known as Pecs, and I was born in Fiji where initially I worked as a teleco technician. However, like a considerable number of my fellow countryman, I responded to the call for Commonwealth citizens and joined the British Armed Forces.
I was selected the Royal Navy (Supply Branch) and was lucky enough to serve for 8 years before being medically discharged due to an injury received while representing my Ship at Rugby. During my service years, I spent some time at HMS SULTAN and
thought Gosport the would be the ideal place for my young family to settle in the UK – a decision we have never regretted. I now work in the Security business but find time to be a Veteran Charities’ volunteer and member of the Armed Forces Reserves.
I am married, have two children, and live in Rowner where we very much consider Gosport to be our ‘hometown.’
