Conservative Councillor Steve Dugan is the elected councillor who represents Hill Head Ward. Steve Dugan, aged 64, has lived in Stubbington and Hill Head for the last 30 years. He is married to Sue and has 4 children.
Steve is a trustee of several local charities and attends meetings on a regular basis offering assistance and advice when required.
Steve had worked for the MOD for 46 years starting with an apprenticeship at Fleetlands. He served 23 years there with a one-year break when he worked in Qatar. In 1996 he moved to the Air Engineering School at HMS Sultan where he completed a further 23 years in various management roles. Through this role he is well aware of the difficulties faced by members of the armed forces and their families within the local community. He supports the continued operation of Solent Airport and the employment opportunities this brings to the local area.
Steve Dugan was first elected as Hill Head Councillor in 2018. Steve is chairman of the appeals Panel, Vice Chairman of the Housing Scrutiny Panel, and a member of the Leisure & Community Scrutiny Panel. He also serves on the Management Committee for the Crofton Community Association and the Hammond Hall Memorial Trust.
Steve holds regular Ward surgeries in Stubbington village centre with Hill Head’s other Ward Councillor Kay Mandry and County Councillor Pal Hayre to give residents the opportunity to raise any concerns and to meet their representatives in person.
