Alan Neville has been a resident of Gosport for the past 11 years, with a strong connection to the area as a regular visitor for the last 37 years, giving him a deep understanding of the community. He has established solid relationships with the schools in Elson, St Thomas the Apostle Church, and various local charitable organizations, including homeless groups and The Gosportarians. Alan actively volunteers on the annual Christmas Sleigh runs and holds a committee position at Gosport Borough Cricket Club, where he has been a club umpire for the past 7 years.
With extensive experience in addressing representative issues for staff members, Alan has been assisting residents in different areas of the borough since 2018, particularly in Elson, ensuring their concerns are effectively communicated and followed up through the appropriate channels.
A firm believer in the importance of the family unit and strong community values, Alan is committed to working within the community and alongside residents of Elson and broader Gosport to ensure their voices are heard, supported, and represented. He prioritizes the local voice and advocates for it to be strongly heard in the Town Hall, providing fair and honest feedback on every occasion.
Formerly Station Manager at Fareham Ambulance Station for Polaris Medical Services, Alan oversees frontline emergency services and patient transport ambulances for South Central Ambulance Service, as well as event and Covid-19 support services. With 19 years of experience in the NHS, 7 years in Immigration Services, and 12 years in the United Kingdom Atomic Energy Authority, he brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his role.
Proudly affiliated with the local Conservative Group, Alan is dedicated to supporting all residents of Elson and the wider Gosport Area, advocating for their needs and interests.
