Gosport MP Caroline Dinenage is encouraging local young people to sign up to the Gosport Summer Passport Scheme and take advantage of the activities available.
Organised by the Gosport Community Safety Partnership, the event runs for three weeks during the summer holidays and provides a wide range of activities for young people of secondary school age. This year, sailing has been added to the already extensive list of opportunities which includes scuba diving, fishing, ice skating and jewellery making.
Expressing her support for the event, Caroline said:
'I'm delighted to hear that the Gosport Summer Passport Scheme is returning for its sixth year. It provides some really unique experiences for young people during the long school holidays which can sometimes become a little monotonous, especially if the British weather lives up to its reputation!
I hope that as many young people as possible sign up and make the most of the fabulous activities that are being laid on for them."
The scheme begins on 30th July at Walpole Park and ends on 15th August at Stokes Bay. For more information, visit Safer Gosport or contact 023 9254 5232.
