Robbie was born and raised in Heald Green near Manchester.
After joining the British Army in 1999, he was assigned to Fort Blockhouse to undertake his Registered Nurse training in 2001 and after graduating from the University of Portsmouth undertook various assignments across the UK and Operational tours in Northern Ireland and Iraq.
Although he has spent time away from Gosport throughout his career, he has lived in Bridgemary and now resides in Privett ward, with his wife Sarah and two boys.
Having completed 24 years colour service, Robbie is passionate about the welfare and positive impact serving personnel and veterans can have in Gosport. Enhancing cooperation between these two communities serves to enhance Gosport as a whole.
Robbie was awarded an MBE in the King’s birthday honours list on June 23, for his services to the UK Military and NATO.
Having worked in healthcare all his life, the provision of safe, efficient, and patient-centreed care is a strong area of interest. He continues to work within healthcare, advocating for patients and their families to always receive unparallel healthcare. To add to this, he coaches a local youth football team and all grassroots sports and provides easily accessible sporting opportunities for ages, genders, and abilities should be afforded.
Alongside this, he plays drums in a local band and is keen to ensure the opportunity for live music and cultural events is something open to all Gosportarians.
Although not originally from Gosport, this is truly where his heart is. Caring passionately about his community and all residents, Robbie’s devotion to doing all he can to enhance facilities, local areas, and community spirit should not be underestimated.
