Caroline Dinenage is bringing a local Gosport beer into the House of Commons. Over the coming week, the Oakleaf Brewery will provide the Guest Beer to the Strangers’ Bar within the Palace of Westminster, a popular bar frequented by Members of Parliament, their staff and guests. The Quercus Folium, a traditional hoppy bitter with a malty aftertaste, will make its debut into the bar on Monday 7th March.
MPs have been invited to the official launch on Tuesday 8th March to taste the new beer and to meet with the brewer, Ed Anderson.
Caroline said: “I am greatly looking forward to bringing this Gosport beer into the national spotlight. It is vital to support local industries like Oakleaf Brewery which create unique products and bring growth and employment to our community.”
Ed Anderson, of Oakleaf Brewery, also welcomed this chance to publicise the work of local brewers. He said: “I am grateful for the opportunity to be able to promote the needs of Microbrewers like myself to a wider and ever increasing audience.”
