Local MP Caroline Dinenage today encouraged local people keen to set up or expand their own business to apply for the 2014/15 intake of Lloyds Bank and Bank of Scotland Social Entrepreneurs. The scheme is now open until Thursday 3rd April, and all you need is a good idea!
Launched in April last year, the Lloyds Bank Social Entrepreneurs Programme with the School for Social Entrepreneurs provides both financial support (grants from between £4,000 - £15,000) and access to a comprehensive learning support programme including a business mentoring scheme. Over the next five years the programme, which is also supported by The Big Lottery Fund, will support around 1,300 social entrepreneurs to Start and Scale innovative social organisations

"This scheme is a great chance for local people who want to start their own business and learn the basic business skills to turn their dream into a reality.
