Local MP, Caroline Dinenage, is hosting a free Funding Fair on the 20th November from 10-11am for voluntary groups and charitable organisations in the Gosport Constituency
The event, which is being co-hosted by The National Lottery Community Fund, will include information from the local funding team to help organisations understand what support and funding is out there and how to bid for it.
The meeting will also include local organisations who have been successful at securing Lottery funding, to offer tips and advice on the process.
This includes Motiv8 who will be joining the event to talk about their successful £495,944 grant from the National Lottery Community Fund, which enabled them to expand their services for local young people.
Commenting Caroline said:
“Our charities and voluntary organisations have really stepped up to support local residents during the pandemic. However, Covid 19 has had a massive impact on their fundraising and income.
I hope this event will help our local groups understand more about the National Lottery Community Fund, what support is out there and how to successfully apply for it.”
Helen Bushell, Senior Head of Southern Funding at The National Lottery Community Fund, said:
“We are delighted to be hosting this event alongside Caroline Dinenage MP, which will be an excellent opportunity for Gosport’s charity and voluntary organisations to learn more about our funding.
“As the largest funder of community activity in the UK, we have been truly inspired by the incredible response of community groups to the COVID-19 pandemic, and we hope this event will provide information and guidance to groups who are keen to support people and communities with the help of National Lottery funding.”
