Gosport MP Caroline Dinenage is backing this year's Movember campaign by becoming a 'Virtual Mo Sister'.
Caroline has joined a group of female MPs who have pledged their support for Movember 2013 by becoming 'Virtual Mo Sistas' on the Movember in Parliament website. Since its inception ten years ago, Movember has become a global campaign to raise awareness and funds for men's health issues.
Praising the initiative, Caroline said:
"On average, one man dies every hour from prostate cancer. That is why it is so important for us to back initiatives such as Movember which aim to increase early cancer detection and facilitate the development of effective treatments.
I'm proud to be showing my support for Movember 2013 by donning a rather dashing moustache on the Movember in Parliament website!"
The money raised by Movember is invested into programmes that help support prostate cancer, testicular cancer and men's mental health. To see which other MPs are backing the campaign, visit:www.movemberinparliament.co.uk.
