Virginia began her career caring for dolphins with Terry Nutkins (Animal Magic, BBC1). Inspirational teachers at Colchester County High, a grammar school, helped Virginia became the first person in her family to take A levels and go to University where she studied Microbiology.
Following a distinguished career at GlaxoWellcome working on the production of Interferon, UBS where she was one of the youngest Directors in UBS history and HSBC where she won awards as a leading pharmaceutical analyst - Virginia retrained as a teacher and now teaches maths to disadvantaged adults.
Virginia is dedicated to social mobility and empowering others. She is a mentor for IntoUniversity, volunteers as a Development Coach for the charity ParentGym and hosts entrepreneur events for Make It Your Business.
Virginia is a successful campaigner; as the Parliamentary Candidate in Rhondda in the 2017 General Election she helped deliver an exceptional result in a challenging election and increased the Conservative vote by 58% using an innovative social media campaign.
As Director of Women2Win Virginia leads the Conservative Party campaign to ensure women are represented at every level in politics and public life in the UK. Women2Win receives no funding from the Conservative Party but has an active Business Club which raises over £25,000 pa to support women on their political journeys.
Virginia lives in West Sussex with her husband, three children and Violet her cocker spaniel. They enjoy the outdoor life and sailing as a family.
